Great for any operator HAM's included
This is an older motorola but it is a great workhorse! I use it for fire, ems, security, and ham radio operations. If I had never used other motorola products I would not attempt to program it myself, it is very tedious to program but is not difficult. An overall great radio that I trust with my life.
