    Mike Rowe is the best host!

    Every once in a while you find a host for a show which is perfectly suited for the job. In this case Mike Rowe is the perfect host for Dirty Jobs. He is funny, interesting and informative. He has a knack for helping the viewers understand what it would be like to do this Dirty Job. Season 1 has some of the most memorable moments of the whole series. My favorite episode was the Pig farmer. Watching Mike Rowe try to catch the pigs and move them to where they need to go is hysterical. Other favorite episodes were Monkey Caretaker, Ostrich Rancher, Shark Patroller, Casino Food Recycler and Coal Miner. This is a great series.

    the title says it all

    This is a look into jobs that the everyday working person would hate to do. In fact, the majority of people would stick their noses up at these jobs. Mike Rowe did a great job and my favorite is the "Ostrich Farm".

    Fun show to watch, but too much swearing for us

    We like this series. It's entertaining and teaches things as well. Unfortunatly it has swearing that is not even "beeped" out, so we will not be buying the rest of the dvds..if you don't worry about that, I would recommend these shows. They are really interesting to see and you do learn a lot. If you homeschool, you can surely count these as your school for science, maybe history and geography..
