    Honeywell makes the best products

    There's only one problem with this thermostat when you try to push in the wires into the little holes in the back and work with the tiny little screws that's in there that even eyeglass screwdriver is too big for it makes it impossible to connect it. In fact the wires in the wall were so old one of them broke off, and I had to tell my landlord about it anyway and they had to have somebody come in and move the thermostat across the room because they had to run a new wire through a new hole and pull it up through the wall in the closet and attach a different type of thermostat to the wall. My point is if you're going to do this don't do this yourself get a professional to do it because the wires inside your wall may not be bendable anymore without snapping off like mine did.     Old style- new technology

    I wanted an old style thermostat like the mercury ones of years ago that had no batteries and didn't need programming. A simple on-off temp control. Obviously mercury is no longer used but there are alternates that serve the same purpose. This thermostat is not mechanical and has a solid state circuit with switchable non adjustable presets for various heat types. The lower room temperature gauge is inaccurate by 3 degrees negative and doesnt go higher than 69. The upper temp control dial can be set within 1 deg to turn on and off by rotating the entire thermostat as designed. Mine is set for oil base board heat and 10 feet from the closest BB in a wide open living room. It does work.

    Best deal for the work shop that is simple to use

    Got this unit at a bargain basement price. At the store it is like 30 dollars. I think I got it for like eight. Hooked it up. Took all of about 2 minute and that was taking my time. Started working right away. It is the best deal I could find for a simple thermostat for my shop. I do not have A.C Just heat and it works perfectly. Does not need battery or programming just set it to the temp you want and BANG you got it

    High quality and simple to operate.

    I wanted a simple to operate thermostat WITHOUT PROGRAMMING. I purchased this for an elderly lady (tenant) who is confused by button levers, and digital displays. This thermostat is so easy to use. If you want the heat on you turn the dial to the temperature you like. If you want the heat off, you turn the dial down. It is a "heat only" thermostat so there's no confusion with "heat" and "cool" settings. Although this thermostat is not the cheapest, it is of high quality and dependable. I will be buying more of these.

    CT87K Honeywell. Old reliable. These have been around for a long time. They always work and require no batteries or maintenance. A simple design. I use to use electronic versions that were programmable. I stopped due to tenants not being able to figure them out or change batteries.
