    Nice case but does not fit guitar great

    I am using this case to hold a ES-330 which is dimensionaly the same as a ES-335. But the body of the case is too deep and that allows the guitar to sit in the case too low and the neck to pivot on the neck support so that the lid pushes down on the end of the neck putting a bending force on the neck. Not good. I had to add about a 2" foam pad to the bottom of the case to allow the guitar to sit right. It is an awesome case and very well constructed, but it just does not fit the guitar well. It seems like it is more suited for an acoustic guitar than for a hollow body electric.

    guitar case

    I use this case for a Guild Starfire V and an Electromatic Gretch and both fit well. I use or keep a towel in my case for wiping my guitars. I do use the towel to fill any extra space around the guitars. I had an SKB case for a 335 Gibson but found the Guild did not fit properly and the fit on thickness was far to tight for the guitar and my Electomatic is a half inch thicker so I bought this for it. It fit perfectly because it's a inch deeper than the SKB. So I purchased another for my Guild and it fits nicely. The bottom line is I recommend this case to any one who owns a guitar in the style of a 335.

    Great case at a great deal!

    i already knew the case was great and was not interested in spending $149.99 + tax for a new one at the evil empire so I hopped on ebay hoping to find a deal like an Epiphone at around 80/no tax/free shipping but this one showed up and I grabbed it. Guitar collector nerds would not like the scuffs and scratches and dents as new (can't hardly see them) but for me as an utilitarian this case rocks! Fits my Gretsch 5620T-CB perfectly with just a little cushion under the bottom end. I think there are several 5620 owners needing to know what case will work and this one does!

    Needs Modification to fit with Gibson ES-335TDC

    Needs Modification to fit with 1965 Gibson ES-335TDC. The Depth of body doesn't fit. I have to put something to ajust like this.
