initially sent the wrong order, but told the seller, and they were apologetic and sent out the right order straight afterwards, it just took longer, but their communication was very good and it arrived today, the right one, so got there in the end, reliable seller and we all make mistakes, many thanks to this seller for such great communication and a good price too, and nicely packaged, like new, many thanks, highly recommended

Was initially confused by the tracking, which said it had arrived before it really did, however the seller was very helpful and provided a screenshot of their tracking view, which confirmed there was simply something up with the eBay tracking, and in fact it had only registered as arriving at Heathrow. It arrived with me a few days later and is undamaged, is what was ordered, etc.. A very good price for a classic film that's hard to find in this original aspect ratio and colour balance!

Great, yet not great, but STILL great!

I first saw this film on laserdisc back in 1985. I still liked it so much in 2017 that I bought it on DVD. The story is formulaic, and some of the acting -- particularly by Michael Pare and Rick Moranis -- is not very good, but the music by Ry Cooder is outstanding (buy the soundtrack) and the cinematography is surprisingly compelling. In no way is this Walter Hill's masterpiece, but in spite of its flaws, and sometimes because of its flaws, it stands out. The closing song, "Tonight is What It Means to be Young," gives me goosebumps even after 33 years. It is where I first developed a crush on Diane Lane (a total smokeshow in 1984) and first experienced the edge that only Amy Madigan can bring to a role. I really, REALLY love this film.

  • Musical Rumble

Early movie with Diane Lane and Mike Pare.' Girl sings Rock and has a chance to make out the "bad" part of town. Pare' is an old flame who goes to rescue her from a biker gang who kidnapped her. Simple but engaging.

I love my DVD. It looks great and came in when specified. I didn't expect a Korean DVD case. I couldn't read the back of the box. lol Other than that. I'm happy. Thanks

  • Awesome movie

Streets of Fire has the "you are there" type filming style. The music and dancing are both new with the mixture of the 50s which are so well intertwined to make the film (dvd) a complete enjoyable experience. All these Actors really did a great job, if you able to just enjoy a film without trying to make everything reality, you can see yourself being there. All these actors should have become Stars for their acting.

  • The title is fine perhaps a bit misleading

This movie takes me back to a younger time. The plot is for young people but the actors have all gained in popularity and made their mark in a tough business. Someone at age 35 now most likely wouldn't understand it, but if you were a teen ager in the sixties "your gonna dig it"
