    Good quality for the money

    This is a plastic composite mount that is well built, strong and light weight. The base is a little small 2" x 2" with small mounting holes for the bolts that you will have to go purchase along with the base plate bolts. The base plate on the mount had to be drilled out to accept little larger bolts for my needs...no problem tho. I used it for the front of my boat to mount a Hook 2-7" and the holes lined up with no problems other than the small holes that I fixed. After it was all installed / hooked up, I was completely satisfied with the mount quality and the overall looks. Make sure you don't mount anything bigger than the 7" fish finder or you will need a HD mount. For the smaller depth finders, I highly recommend this product. Tight lines!

    Ram Mount for Lowrance Hook 7

    Installed with my Lowrance Hook 7. Fit perfect but I had to get the hardware bolts to secure them together. Not a big deal. Mounts sturdy and is what I had in mind. Was nervous it wouldn’t fit but glad I read other reviews on the product.

    Strength

    After finding, deciding, and purchasing my ram mount I was still a bit skeptical. I just mounted it today to fit my lowrance hook 7. After mounting, I positioned it as I liked and could literally rock my boat on the trailer. I have no worries on this mount letting me down or moving out of position while on the water.
