    great action and great actors

    This film the Running Man is a great movie its based on a Stephen King novel which gives it even more awesomeness and it stars one of hollywoods OG tough guys Arnold in the leading role as Ben Richards, with Richard Dawson who played Newkirk on Hogans heroes as the nemesis in the running man named Killian. Dawsons character acts like a cross between trump on the apprentis and big brother in George Orwells nineteen eighty four does making for one epic cinematic battle between individuality and truth, versus group think and regulating of society behavior for orderliness at all cost.

    movie just got better

    i had seen running man before and just wanted to get another copy but this 2 DVD set had all kinds of extras that made this good movie better. My favorite is when they fleshed out each of the "Killers" profile.

    Near future sci-fi mirrors real life

    This 1987 movie, set in 2019, is eerily similar to current events. The near future US is a hopeless society. The only respite is the popular Running Man game show. It is a violent blood sport game pitting "contestants" against deadly opponents. With the actual glut of "reality" shows on TV and the election of Donald Trump, the premise of the movie can seem all too real for modern viewers.
