      Shimano’s rising Sun, SunTour’s total eclipse

      This is a unique period of bicycle alloy gripping component history- painted click-shifting!? Just after the expiration of SunTour’s slant-parallelogram derailleur patent, their rival Shimano used that idea and their idea of indexed click gears against the originators in the same marketplace , IMO. Almost 40 years later the gruppo rides and looks great, unique, and iconic.
