    I like the side torque setscrews, you can get tips real tight w/o fear of stripping screws.

    It's a weller. Excellent tech support and parts availability. Six seconds to heat up. I use it to solder thick wire automotive applications and solar panel fittings.

    good unit but not so good tips

    unit works well, but the tips erode very quickly so buy a few extras to have on hand just in case. This is there highest wattage unit I wish for a 500w unit! led free soldering is a totally different thing nowa days overall a decent gun thats not too expensive even for the hobbyist like myself waiting for the 500watter :)
