Good KVM switch
Good KVM switch. It keeps the host computer connected so when switching between hosts doesn't trigger a new device detection. I'm not sure if it's because of my used unit or the cables pick up some line noise, I do notice some slight low frequency noise like a wave that scrolls across the screen. I'm using the switch at 1920x1080 resolution at 60Hz. I'm not a gamer so it's just a minor annoyance that I can live with. I like it the cables come with a long and and short one and the remote switch. The remote switch is really handy that I can put the main switch underneath my desk and out of the way. While the listing says it has audio switching but the unit I received didn't have it. While I don't really need to switch audio, but it's a bit disappointed. I just didn't bother to return or exchange it. While the main unit did identify both the keyboard and mouse USB ports, I could just plug an USB hub to it. The difference is if used as intended, no auto USB discovery will be triggered when switching between hosts, otherwise since the USB devices are connected through the USB hub, switching between the hosts will trigger the rediscovery of the devices, including the mouse and keyboard. It's just a minor annoyance which is understandable. For my case, I don't switch between my desktop and the server that often, so it works just fine for me. Overall, it's a good fit for my need, which is to connect to my desktop and occasionally connect to my server without taking up room for another set of KVM. Of course I could use something like VNC for remote access, but VNC can't access bios settings.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
