    Unfortunately this transaction was bad enough to warrant negative feedback. They were more concerned about a payment than providing actual value. They asked to make a payment within ~hour of accepting my offer through one of my own listings, but they never responded to my messages regarding the delayed shipment / status. The item was listed as "perfect" but what I received was defective and not working. The packaging was barely adequate. I was at least able to return the item for a refund.

    I miss the CD Conttol Interlink

    This is a good entry level product, but Pioneer used to feature a control port that allowed you to connect another Pioneer CD player, such that you could control the CD player functions through the receiver. That's gone, now, sadly. This also lacks a Tape Monitor Loop, so I can't connect a remote speaker transmitter. The other thing it lacks is a Zone 2 option which would have done the same thing as the Tape Monitor Loop. But, you get what you pay for. And, in this case, it performs basic AV functions very well. I love the sound quality, and the WiFi feature is a bonus, as is the Bluetooth capability.

    Entry level receiver lacks power bass treble adjustments

    I gave this receiver 3 stars based on the features of inputs hdmi, bluetooth and wifi. Receiver is rated 80watts x 7 channels seems on the low end when trying to power 2 jbl 3 way bookshelf speakers 1" hf 4" mid and 8" bass. Sound quality is all presets pre selected 3 stereo modes and the rest Dolby atmos and surround modes. Cons about the receiver: There are no individual bass or treble knobs. Have to turn the volume knob about -10db before it sounds decent Like the car audio decks have powerful or preset more bass. Most are flat like rock/pop Classical. Music tested rock pop edm trap This is my review of the receiver as a avid home theater and pro audio enthusiast

    Pioneer Elite VSX-LX101 Receiver

    This is my 3rd pioneer Receiver and first with 4K up scaling and Network capable.Set up was very easy,with the interface being much less complicated than my former VSX-23TXH model. Same with the remote, less buttons and very simple to understand and use. I've never had any problems with any of my past Pioneer electronics and with their good 3 year warranty, I'm sure this unit will serve me well, for many years to come. It was also a great buy, fulfilling my needs without over buying or breaking the bank.Thanks Pioneer........ A+++

    Great bang for the buck

    We all want a 1000w system but If your building in a smaller room or apartment this 80w system has all the latest stuff. Streaming through WiFi instead of Bluetooth is 10x better. Easy firmware updates and Chromecast Music is included. Plus it has its own tuner to set your speak levels. I have it setup in a 7.1.2 and watching movies is great. If not movies I stream Amazon Music through Airplay on my Ipad it it is awesome.
