This knife has a total length of 3 1/2" and a 2 3/4" blade. BUT... I find that this smaller knife and sheath are easier to carry around and I've been using it effectively. Meanwhile, I fixed my old knife and bought a new sheath for it. So, I still have the longer knife if I need it.
