    Dryer Vent Kit Valve

I had one of these valves in another location and really liked it. In the winter, we vent the dryer in the house to take advantage of the heat, in the summer we vent the dryer to the outdoors. I caution to use only on electric dryers because gas dryers will put carbon Monoxide in the house and could cause great health harm to the residents. I gave it 4stars because it is not completely sealed due to light construction but adequate.

    Dryer Vent Summary

Working with the flex tubing was not as easy as I expected it to be. Small inner flap was not assembled to the main flap. Bent it's pin trying to get it in the bigger flap. There were no instructions on how to mount the valve. Not sure I would do this modification again. Just installed it today so have not used the dryer yet. Per others, used a short panty type hose on the indoor vent side to catch the lint.

  • dryer vent

should have better stronger seams and the screen should snap or screw on does not want to stay on the one I got and should have a flat back so if you want to drill a hole to mount it to the wall you can and should have a seal around the flapper to help keep the air from leaking out on the up side it does work and for the cash its worth the money and in the winter time I can see this keeping a small room a tad wormer so you do not need to run a heater as much win drying your cloths to keep a room worm

  • Great unit but with excess plastic

This helps recover heat loss from using your dryer in the winter. It also helps to bring humidity into your home as well. It does have a lot of excess plastic on it from the mold used to make it. If you remove this excess, be careful as not to take to much off where the filter screen goes as it will leave it hard to attach.

  • Heat your house, not the outside..

Works as advertised.. Free heat easy hook up. Get a new vent flex line as when I removed my old one it was full of old lint..also don't put a dryer sheet over screen it blocks the flow.

  • Does what it’s supposed to do....

It gets the basic job done but it’s cheaply made. I still wouldn’t recommend it and buy/use it for myself but it still could be made a bit better. The door to redirect the air from blowing into the house or outside of the house does not latch very well but it still directs the majority of the air in the direction that you are trying to send it. Overall it’s a pretty good buy.

  • Versitile and easy to use!!!

Was able to modify for better air control from outdoors. Hooked up easily and in a manner according to my needs. Wish it was made of metal or a bit stronger components. Zip strips are good for flexible tubing fore vent, but rigid type needs screws or large hose style clamp.

  • Well designed, easy install

Took about 10 minutes to install. I used extra zip ties for a better seal. Well designed with an easy to operate diverter door. I like the removable lint screen. It's fine enough to catch the fibers without clogging too quickly. It's surprising the volume of heated air that comes out of this thing. You'll wish you'd gotten one sooner. The price for what it does in one functional, compact package is hard to beat. Don't hesitate, get one.

  • Takes a little to tweak it but it works great

I've had one of these before that was very similar it takes a little bit of tweaking but it's a great way to save heat in the winter time by putting it back into your homeo

  • Works...after a re-fashioning.

As described, seems as well made as any competitor. However, it ships in a store shelf box, came warped as a consequence of it's manufacturing/assembly design and would not close-off fully. I heated it with a heat gun, while installing a couple struts to make it round, instead of oval. Then I let it cool and it retained it's shape and now works as well as can be expected. Seems to be solid enough to last for years, but who knows for sure?
