    Too large and heavy

    These balls are slightly larger and heavier than the one that comes with the 2016 version of Mouse Trap. (Not sure about the 1980s original.) As a result, when the ball falls into the yellow bucket from the red chute, the ball is too heavy for the counterweight to lift and the bucket gets stuck. Never happened with the original ball that came with the game. I eventually got these balls to work by using a utility knife to shave down the sides of the bucket and the chute. They are nice, shiny ball bearings so I guess they deserve more than one star; but as Mouse Trap replacements, they don't work very well.

    replacement balls - very specific size

    The Mouse trap marbles got lost. We tried different sized marbles to no avail. These are the only thing we can find that fits the game. I like that there are 3 balls as they will get lost again.

    Steel Balls

    There just that. Steel balls. Perfect fit for my "Bats in the Belfry" game from 1964. Over the years almost everyone has lost the ball that triggers the bats to fly. I find these balls to be a perfect fit and heavy enough to work.
