    The best upgrade for your bass tone, period!

    Complete and total control over your bass tone. The mids adjustment with the sweepable frequency knob is worth the cost of this upgrade alone, but you get bass and treble boost and cut as well! I have these installed in all of my basses and they are absolutely the best upgrade you can do along with adding your choice of EMG pickups. You will not be disappointed!

    tone control

    i replaced a set of stock passive pickups with a set of EMG P5Js. i liked the pickups, but was underwhelmed by the passive tone control that came with the 5PJs, so the BQC was a necessary addition to the setup. the bass is now a completely different animal. it's clinically silent when it's supposed to be, and a scrappy, punchy beast when the band is on. with the BQC i can pretty much set the tone controls on the amp at noon and find the right bass sound to cut through the mix for any song on the fly right from the bass. the only negative would be that the stock plastic EMG knobs are really bad, but most people would be replacing them anyway.

    EMG pre amps are like icing on the cake.

    Any EMG pre amp is going to make the pickups sound amazing, especially when they are wired with 18 volt circuitry. EMG electronics are the easiest to install with thier solderless connections. I love them!

    Great EQ for EMG systems

    It connects easily to EMG cabling and is very flexible tonally. Quiet and effective, what's not to like? That said it's not going to fix a bad sounding bass, just give a broader pallet to your existing sound.
