Each piece was carefully wrapped and and then place in its original Mikasa box. That box was placed within another box to ensure a safe transit. I am slightly bummed that the saucer did have a chip on the bottom rim but I am well prepared to overlook that since the price point value far more appealing than a chip I cannot see. I never did find the missing piece so I do not fault the seller. Thank you for having the set available for me.
