Extremely fast service. A competitor called B&H photo wanted 4-6 weeks to deliver but these guys did it in 4 days. Everyone knows about Mogami cables reputation, I own 3 of them. You either have Mogami cables or you wish you could afford them. Pricey but worth it. Lifetime warranty too. That's why the professionals us Mogami cables. I brought this to hook up to my Mesa Boogie Road king II to my 4X12 Mesa Boogie Road king cabinet...

Seller is very slow to respond. Slow to ship, ordered on 3rd and received in 12th even though states 2 day shipping. There was a part missing even though it said brand new. I identified part and even confirmed on mfr website it is included. Seller says they need to confirm with mfr and then I never hear from seller again. Avoid this seller!

Top of the line in noise reduction

Have tried a couple of different noise gates, and this one I think is the best on the market. TC makes really good gear, and has done so for years. They are an industry leader in this type of gear. Compared to most other noise gates, you can tweak this one to filter only that part of the sound that is causing the issue. Just plug the pedal into your computer and use the free software download to tweak the pedal to your liking. The pedal doesn't have that stutter when the gate closes, so notes decay beautifully. And you can adjust the damper to either have a more normal voice or to clamp down on it to get rid of as much noise as possible. And if you have really noise pedals (like my Marshall compressor combined with my overdrive) you can put them in the effects loop and it kills the ...

Stay with the old standard (analog)

Although multiband gating is a great idea, it does not implement well as compared to simple analog filtering well if you have multiple overdrives/distortions in your pedal chain . I repeat....it does not implement well if you have multiple overdrives/distortions in your pedal chain as compared to simple analog filtering. If you have, for example, a light overdrive pedal as well as a high gain pedal, the gate will shut off too early with the lower gain than the higher gains. You are constantly trying to dial in what works for both extremes. This is unlike an MXR, which in my opinion, can be dialed in for a variety of gain options. Sure some noise gets through with higher gain pedals ans I mean some, but at least you are not constantly fiddling with it! After 3 hours with this thing, I ...

  • Unique Tonal Possibilitys

First of all over the years I have owned several of the leading pedal gates. Although each one silences unwanted high frequency artifacts I found that the TC Sentry is able to separate and highlight the upper mid and highs uniquely different than any other gate, whether studio rack processor or pedal due primarily to its digitally controlled 3 band processing, which functions much the same way as a Multi Band Opti-mod Compressor. Adjustment takes a bit longer to learn but the results are fa-nominal. Operationally: I especially like the momentary ON/Off button rather than the traditional hard-push latching foot-switch found on most pedals. Furthermore: I have 6 current TC guitar products in my setup and must state that everyone is a drop dead winner. Lastly: I am not a TC employee or Review ...

  • Anyone who returns these..

..doesn't know how to use them. Dialing it in with 30 min in tone print has my 6505+ dead silent. The only way this could be better is if it had two foot switches to change between 2 settings, I.e. An overall noise gate for general use, and another setting for making your palm muting extra choppy. You can dial the threshold down to the point that you can't even hear your guitar, which is essentially useless, but it demonstrates the range. Very awesome pedal, wish I had one my whole life.

  • TC Electronice Sentry does exactly what it is advertised to do. There is no better gate in a pedal form!

This product works precisely as advertised. I would not bother with buying any other gate in a pedal form. The Sentry is the right stuff, and NO noise gets past it.
