Outdated yes, but still takes good pictures. 6Mp might seen tiny now, but a 6Mp shot can easily fill an 8x10 print with excellent detail. You don't get a lot to crop out, but it just makes you more aware of viewfinder use when shooting. I'd thoroughly recommend a 10D as a great starting camera to get into DSLRs. Just remember, the lens and the shooter are just as important as the camera, more so in some cases.

The Canon 10D is a great camera. With a good lens, this camera still takes amazing photos as this is a semi-professional camera, although outdated. It is the first model of its line(current is 90D).

I jumped on a good price, but quickly found that the 10d was so far outdated that my cellphone does a better job. I just bought a EOS 70d and now I have a good camera. my suggestion is to save your money and definatley buy a current DSLR

I have had this camera body before and it performs well. Just needed to replace it and am very happy with how it is working for me.
