The RCA EZ100 Camcorder lives up to its name, it is easy to use. All controls are simple and intuitive and I didn't have to read anything before I started using it. The 720p HD video is clear and continuous with good video quality overall. There are no stalls in the video stream - a shortcoming of many cameras in this class. Lighting is critical however, low light conditions leave the video speckled or grainy. Outdoor video quality seems to be the strength of this camera and action video is no problem. The MOV file sizes average 15 megabytes per 1 minute of video. The camera uses full size SD cards and I used a 16GB Class 10 card which generally outlasted the battery life in most cases. The audio level is somewhat low even at max volume and the sound quality is just fair overall. A very low level white noise background is present in the audio of all of the videos I shot, as though they were made somewhere near a distant waterfall. Video playback on the 2" color screen is surprisingly good. The battery life is a tiny bit weak compared to the latest lithium rechargeable batteries, yielding an average maximum of 2-3 hours of video before a charge is needed. A USB cable connected to a 500ma computer USB port is a bit weak to provide a quick charge but left overnight it does the job. A 1 ampere 5V mini USB power supply (not included) does the job nicely in about 1.5-2 hours. It has a standard camera mounting thread so using it with a tripod or monopod is easy. I recently purchased this camera new for only $30 plus $4 shipping from ebay. If you are looking for an easy to use camera with good results for a younger person or to use in locations that might put the camera at mild risk like sporting events, hiking or even fishing trips and you are lucky enough to find one at this price, I think you would be more than satisfied with the quality and value of this little gem.Read full review
Great pocket camcorder for under $40. Pros - great picture, good battery life, easy to use. Cons - in very low light picture grainy, only 2x zoom, limited features. All in all easy to carry and great johnny on the spot camera and camcorder
Great CamCorder and just in time for the holidays! I love the convenient size (fits in my purse perfectly), the ease of using the product (even my 6yr old twins can use it) and the playback quality is great. This is nice, small and simple HD camera. Just point and record. Easy to cary, and easy to use. In darker places it is recomended to use external light because it doesnt have one of its own. But it is not cameras problem. In daylight video is great. For 30$, its real deal! Recomend
