This is a great game just like dirt 2. However I was hoping for a little more. It is almost identical to dirt 2 just with different tracks and cars. Even though dirt 3 is much newer, the graphics have not really improved. example: The headlights look just like stickers and have no depth to them. Another thing that this game lacks that others have is the options of car customization. Forza 3 is amazing with that and I wish dirt 3 also had that feature. Don't get me wrong, its a great game. I was just expecting for a little more.
Awesome game worth every Pennie if your a racing fan. The different weathers in the game make racing challenging. The weather is very noticeable in the traction and control. There are a wide variety of tracks that keep this game not so boring. Different game types to play online then just racing which makes it a bit better then just a racing game.
Come on people. How many quality off road rally type racing games are out there. This game offers a great quality game that will have you coming back for more. The franchise has come a long way and has greatly introduced something new to the table every time. I have owned every Dirt game and game vouch for it 100 fold!!! I'm not buyist in any shape or form because I own other type racing games that are strictly racer simulator only (i.g. Forza) and I can truly say that this has a perfect SYNERGY of that simulator feel with the fun of the arcade meshed of gameplay. All of this rapped in a giant, Ice, mud, and dirty chaotic experience I like to call "Dirt 3"
Theres a lot of flash and glitz in this version, but when it comes to most of the actual races, there is a lot of improvement from Dirt 2. There are a lot of regular races and then, there are these stoo-pid Gymkhana events which has almost nothing to do with actual racing. See fake girls: Katie Justice and Jayde Taylor from Dirt 2 ..or a Gymkhana-Dude acting like a flirty-Girl on the Intersnot The dialogue sucks, I mean who talks like "Hey Yo! My amigo-spinning-car-driving-dude, that was sooo way soo sick and too gross and like all cool and stuff! Keep doing the Dew like-kewl dude and yah campadre!" - Ummmm, excuse me? Sorry, but I don't speak tard, but this game does. I mean.. seriously. To me this game is a mixed bag. "Like Omigod! It like totally sucks sooo bad on the awesome-dude speak! Yeah dude! That was sickeningly epic in the Hall of Uncoolness!!!" However, Dirt 3 is excellent on the actual racing events but really sucking on the Awesome-Ghetto-Gymsuckaa crap with the dumb guy that... that is worst than the most annoying noise from the movie "Dumb & Dumber"! And whats up with the surreal triangles and pyramids junk? The only saving grace is the rally race games, much improved and fun to play and for Gymkhana, why not add more tuner-like options, rather lock-in Ken Blocks default racing style. In fact, since I played this game, DC Shoes are a bummer, bro!Read full review

Pretty good game, not too tough to play but good challenges throughout. Music is great. I would highly recommend this game for race enthusiasts as well as casual game players. Split screen mode takes a little bit getting used to and watch out for motion sickness when drifting in circles...wooosh!
great game
