Gilt & green on brown cloth binding relatively tight & square but slightly right-leaning & loose in places (but in no danger of cracking, if handled carefully), e.g., b/w pp. 208-209, & has minor spotting, corner-bumping, edgewear, wrinkling at spine's top & tail & rubbing of green on front ("MA" monogram hard to read). Off-white end pages yellowed & lightly foxed, with pencil writing on front end pages, bookplate on front pastedown, inked inscription on FFEP & bookshop label on rear pastedown. Text pages age-toned/yellowed, with some spotting, smudging, foxing, browning, corner bends, chipping, etc. Glossy plates very good. But for front end pages' writing, no other annotations, marginalia, underlining, scribbles seen, nor any major damage or flaws in way of missing/clipped pages, tape repairs, large tears, water damage, etc. Page edges smooth-cut, uncolored, age-toned, browned, chipped, etc. No musty or smoky odor.”
