The ZTE 723EL is a LTE home phone base station that simulates a landline connection for your home phone network. After trying it out for a week now, it appears to have good connectivity to the T-mobile GSM network that Ting (my phone service company) uses. It did disconnect once during a call today for unknown reasons, but, the voice quality and data transmission appear to be excellent. I would recommend this product.

This product is good in concept and poor in execution. This is an unlocked Canadian version and (per the manual) 3 way calling works differently than the US version. The manual says you must dial 3 followed by flash to create a 3 way call. However, it didn't work for me. Flash simply switches between two calls. Other CX issues are (1) It took over 10 minutes to boot up, even after the SIM had been previously installed in the device.and (2) it takes 8-10 seconds after you finish dialing to send the call through. If you need to stick with GSM-heritage networks (e.g. AT&T and T-Mobile) then the Netcomm seems to be a better option and our testing indicates that it supports 6-Way calling without any fuss. Also, if using Verizon Wireless (or Verizon Wireless MVNO resellers) is an option, the Novatel T2000 works well in our testing and supports incoming DTMF well if you need to control a home answering machine to retrieve your messages. This sort of equipment is becoming obsolete as more and more people abandon their home phones, so I was concerned that it might not work as well as the Verizon product it was replacing. However, it works just fine and I was able to hook up to the T-Mobile network without any problem. It gets a good signal and the voice transmission is clear. I recommend it to anyone who wants to use a cell phone signal to power a home phone system.

MAKE SURE your seller promises it actually has been tested with your carrier. Simply "unlocked" might not be enough, as i had to purchase 2 before one worked. Having saod that, it is painless to operate. You pop the SIM in, and it works! I have not tried the voicemail functionality or any customization however. I got this for an elderly person that had trouble with a cell phone. Grabbed a $15 per month SIM and it's worked perfectly by simply plugging an old phone into it. I'm happy with it. Hope this helps.

I purchased this home phone base last year to replace the one from Sprint. The base has worked out well, though the charger that came with it was faulty. (Fortunately I had the other charger to use.) Ting is my carrier and they set it up quickly and I get a better signal than I did on the Sprint network There have been a couple of times when I had no dial tone and had to turn the power button off and back on to fix. That's never happened with the Sprint base. Other than that very pleased.

With AT&T dropping 3G support soon, there has been a run on 4G devices, including home wireless phones. This is one of the few that were available that works on AT&Ts network. Works fine, too. Had to have an AT&T phone center store configure it, but that was expected.

This device is the cats meow! I was using the ZTE 723EL Home Phone Base with Straight Talk and it gave me nothing but trouble - had to do a power cycle on the average of once a week. I am dropping Straight Talk now that I have the ZTE WF723CA base. I tried a sim card from Redpocket and one from Tracfone and they both worked right off the bat. One locked onto the AT&T UMTS network with Max signal strength and the other sim locked onto the AT&T LTE network with Max signal. This will be my new home phone system. I hope this runs as well as my old Huawei H258c base unit that had worked flawlessly for 6 years before Straight Talk made us upgrade to the ZTE 723EL version. BTW - the voice mail works just fine and lets you know when you have a message waiting by both the light on the unit and the fast tone when you pick up the receiver. This unit came in perfect condition! I would highly recommend this base unit to anyone that needs (likes) the old fashioned telephone system.Read full review

The ZTE WF723CA is very solidly built and worked well right out of the box. I was impressed with the build quality and how easy it was to get it up and running. Great product.

I bought a similar product on Amazon, but it stopped working within a week. I didn't have high hopes for purchasing here, but seeing it working well even months later was a pleasant surprise. I set it up to replace our landline with a spare line from our phone plan. Caller ID stopped working for some numbers, but it still runs perfectly aside from that.

I had a 3G landline phone connection device. I needed to replace it with something using 4G. This product works perfectly and I was even told by a friend that the clarity of our conversation was better.
