    Great Digital Audio Converter but CAUTION: very poor quality included power adapter!!

    I used this to connect a Samsung KS8000 4K TV's optical port to my speakers. All went well until I could hear a buzzing noise when turning up the volume on the speakers, or when using anything connected to the Digital converter output ports. The buzzing noise continued while I troubleshooted for many hours by testing on a PS4, Xbox One, and another TV. I concluded that the issue is with the adapter. However, the issue isn't the DAC adapter itself but with the included USB power adapter that connects to the outlet. I switched the power adapter with one of my iPhone power boxes and the buzzing went away! The included power cable works fine but definitely don't use the usb power box!! The sound works fine by setting the TV audio settings to PCM. Also no optical cable included (sold ...

    Wow,the best thing I ever purchased,,Thought I was going to have to get rid of my retro stereo receiver because of all the new stuff having a lack of avi inputs changing over to HDMI plus the quality of rca cables is horrible ..but this product allowed me to hook my retro stereo receiver up via red and white audio cables and converting to fiber optic,how awesome is that, lol..now I have full HD via HDMI and my old receiver converts to fiber optic allowing me to plug into fiber optic slot on my tv and Wallah awesome surround sound.     Good Value, but needs modifications.

    1. As the previous review suggested, replace the defective USB adapter supplied with this product. It causes mid-frequency Hum/Buzz. Replaced the adapter and it went away. 2. Output is low. I added a single transistor amplifier per channel, gain of about 20, to restore to a decent volume.There is enough room in the box for this modification. Other than that, fairly decent product, good value.

    Digital to Analog Audio Converter

    I hooked up the converter to an LG OLED55C7P. I used an optical cable to hook up the converter to the optical output from the TV. I used the USB port on the TV to power the converter. In the sound settings on the TV, I switched the optical out from digital to PCM. I plugged the 3.5mm jack from the headphone transmitter into the converter. The Sennheiser wireless headphones work perfect. Small device can be hidden easily. Product worked as advertised. Hope it works for a long time.
