Great replacement
Pump motor is same as Hayward, Polaris brands, older style: Century makes them.. It is noticeably different when seeing in action: volute moves forward at start, and it sends more pressure to the pool vac which now needs only 10-15 minutes to get pool clean. It makes a bit more noise, only a bit, and gasps when it shuts off, probably the rectraction of the volute makes that noise. Longevity would be the critical rating factor, but after a few days in action, there is no way to project longevity. Waterway Booster Pump
Was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the booster pump and hoses included. Appears to be quieter than my Polaris PB4-60 (when new). Even with cost of hiring someone to install because I was not well at the time of arrival of the pump, I came out with less expense than buying the previous brand pump.
