From the company that brought you the acclaimed Railroad Tycoon and its sequel comes a new challenge, RollerCoaster Tycoon. Spanning over twenty different scenarios, the aim of the game is to construct a roller coaster park with the best rides and entertainment possible -- and to generate as much profit as you can along the way. Send your scientists out to research dozens of roller coaster designs including old-styled rides, like wooden switchbacks, as well as newer models, such as vertical launchers. After you've picked your favorites, you'll be able to build them almost anywhere you'd like in the park, including underground or over water. If creating your own tracks and roller coasters is too time-consuming, you can choose from a wide variety of prefabricated rides. There are plenty of other entertainment rides at your disposal, like go-karts and bumper cars, a Ferris wheel, and even a haunted house. By using creative designs and park layouts, you'll attract more visitors to your resort, so you'll make more money and send your park value skyrocketing. Graphically, all the rides are detailed with colorful sprites set in a isometric layout in order to capture the best view of your park. Ride operations, as well as the food and bathroom booths and individual park patrons, are all interactive -- you can even charge your customers for photographs taken on the rides!

A fun game for all ages!
I like the game since the first time I saw it. The game's graphic is good, soft, fun, attractive, cute, and nicely done. We can build a theme park as good as we want. Sometimes if you go to a real theme park, you probably would say, "This rollercoaster must be very crowded if they put it over there" or "What does this snack kiosk doing here?" or maybe "If only I was the owner, I could make this theme park the best ever" or some comments like that. Well, you can! This game allows you to make your own best theme park. This game has almost everything you could find in the real theme park. You could build an observatory tower, a most scary roller coaster, a haunted house, restaurants, kiosks, souvenir kiosks, etc. You could add fountains everywhere to make you park even more beautiful and ... Its a good game for a family. You can find and do a lot of things in this game. Go ahead, try it yourself, and lets see how you like the game ^-^

Roller Coaster Tycoon PC Game
One of my clients told me about this game and how great it was for her grandkids. I often get frustrated when my boys are simply sitting at their PCs playing games that seem to put them in a vegatative state (for hours). This game (the first version of three) requires them to create rides at an amusement park and then to make money doing it. When we received the game, I loaded it and the boys took it from there; no instruction on my part! So, if you have kids about 7 years or older, throw one of these games in the PC and watch them create and make money right before your eyes. It's Just Plain Fun!
Not as good or complete as Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 but a good starting point or if you, like me, haven't played in some time and need a refresher. Great little game that can teach a lot about management, people and money. It's just plain Fun!

I bought it as I needed a replacement. My other one went somewhere....and this was the ONLY copy I could find on e-bay. It has a few scratches, but works just fine. I couldn't use the other 3 discs that I have for Roller Coaster Tycoon without it. Thank YOU ebay and the seller as it is not available in stores any more. You can still get it at www.atari.com, but it only downloads to the desktop. You cannot use the expansion CD Roms by purchasing RTC off the internet site.....You HAVE to have the original CD Rom! I am very happy to have won this on ebay so now I can play ALL of the extra CD Roms that I have to this great game.I bought it as I needed a replacement.
