    Usual Sony ES Quality

    Easy access to speaker connections. Super easy setup with on-screen display. And setup mic. Very easy to use - very simple remote control. Sounds excellent. 90 watts per channel is sufficient for 25x15 basement. Awesome that you can still do 5.1 surround and front B speakers. My second Sony ES receiver. Will only consider Sony ES receivers in the future.

    Sony SSTR-ZA1000ES

    For the most part I like the receiver. It was easy to set up, the sound is awesome compared to the receiver I had before I purchased this. I use the HDMI cables and run my cable box through the receiver to the TV. The picture I get is excellent and responds very nicely. I was very disappointed that it didn't have a bluetooth capability and I would have liked to have a phono plug. I would recommend this receiver though I would look for it on line. I found the receiver ran in the electronic stores at almost $350 more than I paid for it.

    Excellent receiver

    Replaced a major brand higher end receiver ($1600. retail) with this one. It has better sound and better video upscaling and is a real bargain. I paired it with a Sony 75" tv and it runs 7 speakers and a subwoofer without a hitch. Highly recommend.

    Easy to install and well made.

    The speaker setup using the microphone supplied is fantastic. It sets up volumes for each speaker in seconds. If you want to adjust manually after it is possible. Sony ES build quality is evident and much thought has gone into the unit.
