This volume completed my collection of the Oblivion series, and true to the form, it had several well known hits that still get radio play, several that I forgotten about, and a few I never knew. Listening to this album through, one gets the feeling of what an 80's radio station should be. Rather than playing the same tired 10-20 songs over and over again, there is actual variety here. We've got the familiar commercial hits by Wang Chung, The Fixx, Spandau Ballet, Dexys Midnight Runners, and Wall of Voodoo. And we also have the lesser known songs, from usually one-hit wonders or an occasional established group like the Thompson Twins' "Sister of Mercy." Overall, a good mix, though not the strongest of the 5 Oblivion CD's.
The version here of "Sister Of Mercy" by the Thompson Twins is worth the purchase price all by its self. Several other good songs. The Living In Oblivion series is an interesting take on the 80s - always having a few outstanding tracks, a few that are quite good and a few dogs. I'd advise potential buyers to review the track listing to see what holes in your collection this will fill. You might of might not need to add this.

I have a bunch of these and I like them. They are a good mix of songs. Just check the names of the songs before you buy it so you know what you are getting. These make great gifts too and are perfect for parties.
