About this product

Product Information

Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. The earth has been invaded by a species that take over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect: the former tenant of her body refusing to relinquish possession of her mind. Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves -- Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love. Featuring what may be the first love triangle involving only two bodies, The Host is a riveting and unforgettable novel that will bring a vast new readership to one of the most compelling writers of our time.

  • Stephenie Meyer books are phenomenal

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer and I loved it so much that I went online to look for more books by Meyer. After reading a short chapter of The Host on Meyer's website, I decided to buy it. I am enjoying this book very much. I have never been much of a book reader. In fact, the last time I read a book was in 1978. Meyer makes her readers want more. Her stories are intriguing. It is very hard to put her books down. The cost of the book is very reasonable. I highly recommend any Stephenie Meyer book!

  • The Host by Stephnie Meyers

The book provides an excellent out worldly expereince. There is an entire new scenario, startingly different than the one posed in Twilight. The new world is just as interesting and intriguing. The development of characters, however, tends to get slow and stereotypical after some time but this should be no worry for the readers of Twilight Saga. I decided to buy it on the recommendations of a fellow reader who knows that I like to read fiction. Recommended for those who like to read fiction, too.

  • Almost Apocalyptic

I almost wish there was a sequel. . . I enjoyed this book much better than the Twilight series.
