Dogwatching is short, but informative.
Having read several of Desmond Morris's books, I was eager to get a copy of Dogwatching. Morris is brilliant. His books are based on observation and the subject's ancestry. Although the book is not very long and divided into chapters that answer frequently asked questions, what we read is compact and insightful. On occasion, I was left unsatisfied with the answer - which in reality were a slew of theories - simply stating that he wasn't sure of the answer. That was in 1987. what inquiring minds want to know about dog behavior
I purchased this book in hopes of giving it to a youngster and luckily I read a bit first. This is adult material in my opinion - it really delves in the nitty gritty of dog behavior if you get my drift. I haven't had time to get into the book so this is not a true review but just a heads up for would be gift givers.
