    i would not recommend these engines if you want to drop it in and go.

    my engine had worn bearings and had been left out in the rain aor on the deck of a ship at some point and one cylinder has rust at the bottom and the top of all the aluminum has some corrosion. im going to have to bore it out. luckily im using it as a base for a build so its not a huge issue. i bought this mostly for the AVCS cylinder heads which are in good condition. make sure to go through the whole timing belt system and compression test before putting one of these in your car.

    Great buy, 1:1 swap for 02 WRX.

    After doing the research and knowing what to swap, this motor turned out to be a nice surprise. A surprise because it was a one-to-one swap of the longblock and turbo into my '02 WRX. No AVCS, used the turbo that came on the motor, and it feels like a smoother, more responsive version of the motor I replaced. (Removed were the intake and all its hoses, connections and controls, AC and mount, PS pump and mount, flex plate, re-used the alternator, removed coolant reservoir, swapped over my upper right cam sprocket and crank sprocket, and brought over my header and uppipe.) Motor started up once everything was hooked to the car. 600 Miles in and no issues. No leaks or drips, sounds like a new engine.

    Wrx engine

    Skeptical, I called first and spoke with them and they told me everything I needed to know, it was delivered within 4 days from Texas to Missouri. Went ahead and got a timing set for it. Went to put that on and the stuff that was on it looked new but replaced it anyway. Dropped it in the car and hooked it all up. Had to replace one sensor. No big deal since I had one on the bad engine. Fired right up after that. 500 miles on it as of 7-14-17. Seems great so far. Also bought the 100$ 6 month warranty that was offered through Assurant just to be safe but so far so good, I'd recommend these guys and they were very helpful over the phone as well. Brent

    Not much to say but straight bolts up to the BH series Legacy wagons and or sedans. Buy one and be "JDM tight" as the kids say.
