    Old Technology and Practices Make this a Dull Read

    Modern home brewing techniques and equipment make this book out dated and obsolete. Although the process of making beer never changes, the methods and equipment used has substantialy with the boom in microbrewing and home brewing. The recipes listed in the book do not compare to the sophisticated beer drinker today. I would look for a more up to date beer making guide.
