I picked this camera simply because my last camera was a Nikon and it was 12 years old (and $500). I'm not a picture-taking freak. And rarely use the camera for other than eBay photos. I usually sell very small items and getting right up close and personal to your item is key. This camera does it and does it well. The only problem I have with it is picking it up. I inevitably reach over and grab it and hit the "on" button...it's just designed that way. The expensive feature of this camera (and I read the recommendations and knew it going in) is that it eats batteries like potato chips. No way can you use regular AA batteries. Lithium batteries are a necessity. In fact I may end up deciding to get a battery charger and charge my own. All in all I love this camera...it was well worth the $148 I paid.Read full review
Even though there are other cameras with higher megapixels...this one will serve the purpose. I have had more than one, because I know I can depend on it. I know it WILL give me a good picture and it is "user friendly" and this is the BEST feature for me. If you have any doubts I hope this review helps you to make a decision.

Have only tried it out a time or two for practice. Had to remember it was only for a camera, so when I needed a manual I went online and found one otherwise I'd have no idea what all the buttons and settings were for.
