After the PF, David Cassidy got a contract with RCA and he was finally able to have artistic control over the songs he would sing. His first LP, "The Higher They Climb" was co-produced by Bruce Johnston of "The Beach Boy," who wrote "I Write The Songs." DC was the FIRST to have a hit with this song in the UK. (Clive Davis heard it and had his fledgling Barry Manilow record it in the USA). This LP is a clever tongue-in-cheek poke at David's own "rise & fall" from "teen-idoldom." It won Germany's Bravo Award for best LP in 1975. It also has back-up singers in "Flo & Eddie" of "The Turtles," "The Beach Boys," "Richie Furay," and more. The 2nd RCA LP, "Home is Where The Heart Is" is even BETTER musically and co-produced by DC & Gerry Beckley of the famous S. CA rock band "America." ... Another gem that was only released as a rare "cut-out" LP & also difficult to obtain. This CD contains songs from each of these wonderful LP's. The liner notes are by Lisa Sutton are EXCELLENT! LOVE THIS CD!!!!

A must have!
When I'm A Rock 'n' Roll Star The David Cassidy Collection... Some very interesting songs on this one. My favorite thing about this one is the sheer length of the album. So many great David Cassidy songs; one that is good from beginning to end! A must have for any David Cassidy fan.

I love to listen to David Cassidy music. It puts me in a good mood and takes me back to the good-old-days when life was free! He is so much more talented than given credit for and I am always looking for his music. If anyone out there is a DC fan--this CD is really good!
