    Great recipes

    Ina Garten's cookbooks are amongst my favorites. I bought this as a gift for my brother who asked for it. We do the "accidental turkey" every year for Thanksgiving. There are many other great recipes, "thyme roasted marcona almonds", "mustard and gruyere batons". If you've never used one of her cookbooks, all you need to do is follow directions and you'll have the best tasting food ever. I now make adjustments to salt and butter quantities, but her recipes really are no fail for any home cook.

Accidental Turkey, pumpkin pie and pie dough, whipped cream, mushroom leek stuffing, Parmesan crisps to throw in your appetizer plate….everything is pretty straightforward, paired down, delicious recipes you’d expect from something called Foolproof, plus great weeknight / weekend dinners without any confusing “hidden time.” I have looked for a more savory meatloaf recipe before and never found one I wanted to keep making. Meatloaf is one of those things I didn’t grow up eating, and only saw smothered in sugary ketchup, but, as a busy mom, I can now appreciate the idea in earnest The 1775 house’s was slam dunk easy and paired with a salty sweet garlicky sauce (not ketchup) that was perfect for testing a mashed potatoes recipe prior to thanksgiving.
