Excellent Indian recipes
This book is filled with a vast assortment of recipes for Indian foods... from appetizers, to entrees, to beverages. Also it has some great menu ideas as well as a beautiful section on the philosophy of vegetarianism and spiritual life. Many recipe books feature items that are not easily obtainable unless you live near an Indian grocery store. This book has very few items that are not easily purchased in ordinary super markets. Best of all, EVERY recipe I've tried turns out perfect--and I've made a lot of them! I bought my first copy years ago--probably 1989 when it first came out. I continue to buy copies when I see a good deal on ebay etc. and give them as gifts--especially to my younger friends who are just beginning their cooking experiences. Excellent book on Indian cooking with heart and soul
This is a beautiful book in all ways. There is a lovely introduction about the mindset of love with which preparing food can be approached. There is a nice section about utensils that will help you with the preparation which is a very nice touch. The photos are stunning and drool-worthy! All recipes are easy to follow and modify if needed so you don't need to have had any special training to make a wonderful meal. Highly recommend this book!This is a beautiful book in all ways.
