    Definite Bang For Your Buck

    Old school Walkman-type players have always come with some built-in problem issues. The battery 'box' is never a satisfactory fit and so springs tend to wear out easily. Batteries wear out quick. The slightest fall will damage them. Keeping all that in mind, the Coby MP-CD521 is pretty rugged and, provided you've got some quality headphones, plays back well. The headphones the seller put in are a joke. Perhaps they're meant for a Chinuhuaha, but tyhey didn't even fit our baby's head. If you want something cheap to play your CDs in, I recommend this one.

    Versatile portable CD player

    This is a nice CD player in that it plays CR-R mp3 discs as well as regular CD-R CD discs. It has a buffer to reduce skipping when the Coby is vibrated, and a bass boost to help weak earbuds sound better. It also has a random play mode.The unit runs on two AA batteries for quite a long time. The negatives are that the display is very tiny, and that the random play only has a few different sequences of randomness. The reliability of my first unit has been excellent; this is my second unit
