Inexpensive super macro setup.
I’ve only used it twice so far but it seems solid and works as advertised. I shoot a Canon 1Dx. I mounted it to the camera then used the thread adapter to reverse my Canon 50mm f1.4, then mounted the second half to the base of the lens. You’ll want a strong light source as with any super-macro setup. The 50mm gave me an apparent 1:1 size image. Then I switched out the 50 for my 16-35 mm zoom. At 16 mm I focused on a ruler and filled the screen with only 7 mm field. I take that to mean I had a 5:1 ratio at that point. The word “Liberty” on a new nickel filled my full frame 36 mm sensor. Of course the depth of focus is as shallow as the raised letters on the nickel but that is what Helicon focus stacking is used for. You’re going to need a cable release and use shutter up lock per usual with ... I’ve only used it twice so far but it seems solid and works as advertised. I shoot a Canon 1Dx.
