    Man Bites Dog

    This film is an absolute beautiful piece of cinema and the Criterion Collection gives you every second of this great film. The film revolves around Benoit, a charismatic serial killer that kills for money. Various film members tag along following the director Remy and Andre, various because of a couple of film crew members getting killed on accident, "an occupational hazard." As the film progresses we learn of Benoit's philosophy on life and his views of everything we all experience. But when a fatal killing takes place, in which Benoit kills a mob member, things go down hill from there leading into a combination of violence and extremely dark humor/satire. A great film for any movie lover or any movie collector, defiantly recommended.

    The best film of 1992 is one you must watch with an empty stomach because it’s true shocking cinema with an unusual message behind it. A cross between MONTY PYTHON, HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER and AMERICAN PSYCHO, MAN BITES DOG certainly lives up to its reputation as a blackly-humorous mockumentary from three unlikely French film school students. Meet Ben, a clever, cultured, quick-witted, well-liked young man with a fondness for mussels, running down the beach in the nude, and most of all, he kills innocent people for a living. Cameraman Andre and reporter Remy are on hand to film the mundane activities of Ben’s daily life along with his friends and family. As the running time progresses, the two men begin to realize that their ideal subject matter is doing more than just being ...

    sick ass movie.

    Definitely not for a faint of heart sort of speak due to the violence. Only for mature audience and not for anyone under 18. It has gore and the killer is one sick individual which in the end...made the crew part of his tour and end up like him also. DRT!

    hard to find dvd. its one of those movies you catch late sat. night on the ifc channel.dark humor. to me its funny as hell , can i say hell? ha! i just did twice.
