    Title tells what the movie is.

    A well written Christian story. The movie is an Excellent visualization of the book. The Saving Gospel of Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior is the center focal point of "Ben Hur". Hopefully, the United States will repent of our sinful ways & come back to Jesus Christ as our Lord & Savior.

    One of the greatest movies ever made.

    This is the Fiftieth Anniversary Special Edition. The movie discs appear fine, but the extras disc is not included. If it was included, I would give this five stars. Without the extras this is just okay even though it's a fantastic movie.

    Excellent movie!

    I love this movie! It was actually filmed in Italy, where the Roman Empire existed. The sets were accurate including the great Circis Maximus chariot race, where they built it exactly has history recorded its construction. the dolphins, giant statues, obolisks, & etc. were all in the original arena. It held approx. 200,000 people; bigger than any football arena today. Excellent movie!

    The acting is superb. The depiction of the Roman Empire, Jewish history and the coming of Jesus pulls you in as if you had been there.

    Splendiferous

    Saw this award-winning classic in the theater when I was 16. Soon after, I bought the movie album. Later, much later, I bought the VHS. Then I read the General Lew Wallace original story. Watched the DVD version so many times it wore out, so I replaced it with this copy. Story details are at any movie review site. It's visually captivating, a real tearjerker, and for the length, you'll need more than one bowl of popcorn.
