Product Information

Gamers who enter Activision's Arcade Zone will find motion-controlled adaptations of such popular midway activities as Skee Ball, Whack-a-Mole, and Spin'n'Win, as well as hit video games such as Kaboom!, Freeway, and MegaMania, from the company's early years as the original third-party publisher for the Atari VCS console. To get in the zone, players create custom characters to represent them in the game. The virtual amusement park features five distinct environments: Arcade, Egyptian, Aztec, Haunted, and Pirate. The prizes are in the theme as well, with stuffed animals, Chinese finger-traps, electronic gizmos, and miniature hovercraft available to players who score big. The greatest rewards, however, may be the new games and challenges that are unlocked through play. Characters must play through all the activities in each zone in order to make all the locked games available, and to face off against the ultimate opponent, the resident "Arcade Legend." Multiplayer modes for up to four are featured, with both "Tournament" and "Quickplay" set-ups to be had, along with a full single-player campaign.

    Memories of days past

    The games on this disk are the ones we remember from the early days of video games when the arcades were for 17 and older. The only down side is the graphics are about the same. After the sharp graphics of other wii games, this takes a little adjustment, but the games are a lot of fun. Definitely a good addition to my game library.

    arcade zone on the wii

    not as good as i thought. my ten year old was a little disappointed. she still likes the game but is not playing it as much as she used too. overall rating 1-10 my daughter gave it a 6
