It is a bit tricky to use. I recommend going on Youtube and watching videos to see technique to get the proper suction in your nose happening before you start pumping salt water. (The navage has a 2-stage button that starts suction and then depress further to get water flow.) Also there are great tips on using this without having to buy the sinfully expensive pods of water and salt. I have been using my Navage with regular pickling salt and baking soda using those tricks. Works like a charm! The device is well made and works flawlessly. It has been a lifesaver with my sinus congestion. I am currently using two times in the morning (reversing the flow through my nostrils) and getting gunk flushed out each time and I do the same in the evening before getting ready for bed. The system is awkward to manage and poorly constructed (fragile plastic). The system suctions well when you learn to fit it properly on your nostrils. Salt pods are expensive and you are supposed to use a few of them a day - where they really make their money on this system. They promise you accessories with the purchase of the system but don't provide all of them when the item is shipped to you. If it was quality built, and the pods were priced reasonably, the system would be great, but as it is, the system, for the price,and the costs involved with using it, is just good.

I will keep this short and to the point. I have had sinus problems ever since l can remember. Over the years l've used nearly every over-the-counter nasal congestion spray/mist/pill etc in an effort to control my sinuses. I knew they weren't "good" and only made me chemically dependent on them - but without them l simply could not breath through my nose. Sick of using these expensive and addictive nasal spray products to control my continual congestion l decided to try the Navage after doing a bit of research. I am happy to announce that after the first 2 weeks of use my nasal passages are much clearer and though l occasionally do still use my Nasal Sprays -- l don't need to use them nearly as much as l used to. I've used the Navage twice a day, every day for around 2 months now. The quality of the machine is very good, it's well built and easy to use. There is a learning curve to getting used to it. The best advice l can give is to STICK WITH IT and use it twice a day for 2 weeks and see the difference it makes in your congestion, sinuses or nasal allergies. Even if that means making a mess and water runs down your neck and shirt for those first few tries; it gets better, you'll get the hang of it, l promise. Testing the direction of flow, and experimenting with the different nasal "tips" is critical. Everyone's nasal passage is different and getting the proper set up for your particular nasal passage is a must. Another little tip to help get good suction that worked for me but wasn't in the manuals is to sniff in after pushing the machine up to your nose (before pressing any of the buttons). I cleared up a major sinus infection without antibiotics. Used the salt pods and ENT prescribed steriod liquid. Within days I could tell it was working. It is way more comfortable than squirting water up your nose and hoping it comes out the other side. It does not take long to perfect the technique of using this machine. For something that works this good I would have paid double this cost. If my house was on fire I would grab family photos and my Navage. The only problem I have is from time to time the lid where you put the pod gets stuck and difficult to open.

Can’t rate the price yet until I see how salt solutions per use is evaluated to price of unit and are yours overpriced?? Unit is engineered well and looks durable.
