Gamers must overcome their fears and make their way through dark and dilapidated environments in the self-described "Haunted House Simulator" Ju-On: The Grudge. Based on a series of Japanese horror films (which in turn inspired the Hollywood film The Grudge), Ju-On forgoes the character development and combat-heavy elements of many typical survival horror games. Instead of fending off hordes of stumbling zombies, gruesome mutants, and cackling demons, players deal mostly with their own psyche, and the main goal is to stay calm in the face of a game designed specifically to frighten them.<br><br>The Wii Remote serves as the gamers' only tool, acting as a flashlight to illuminate the nooks and corridors of a warehouse, a mannequin factory, an abandoned apartment complex, and a hospital. Ghosts inhabit each location, and if players dawdle too long in one particular place, vengeance-seeking apparitions appear. Gamers are rewarded for keeping their Wii Remote steady as they explore, a prospect made more difficult by gameplay designed to terrify, and by the fact that the flashlight periodically dies. And while Ju-On: The Grudge does not feature any traditional multiplayer offerings, another player can join in on the action by using a second Wii Remote to trigger horrifying events.

    Jump, Jump, Jump

    This game is extremely scary. I came across a review of it on YouTube and it looked like an excellent horror game and so far it is living up to what i saw on the review. If you like a horror game and you still use your Wii or just haven't played your Wii in a while and want to use it again, try this game. You should like it.

    Teenage sons enjoy it for the most part

    Item arrived quickly and well packaged. Teenage sons tell me it is "pretty good, pretty scary." Very suspenseful for first time players. Eventually learn where all the "scares" are. First person character moves a little slow, at times the animation is a bit a cheesy, and could use a few more levels but overall pretty satisfying to play with friends at night in dark. Will get a few jumps. Scary images of girl usually with some blood on her, often blood is found on floor, walls, and behind doors, and a splash of blood during the "courage test". Mild cursing. Sons don't think it should be rated M comparatively speaking. May not be scary enough for seasoned horror game players.

    JU-ON: The Grudge (Wii,2009) SCARY - FUN!

    This is a fun game that is best played in the dark! It's scary with sounds and visuals that jump out at you when you least expect it. There is an option for two players where the first person is playing the game and the second person can make something pop out and scare the first player at anytime they want. I HATE THAT! lol It is the type of game where you search for items like keys that allow you to move forward in the game by opening doors and so on. You use a flashlight to search for these items and also more batteries so that you don't end up IN THE DARK= GAME OVER ... I haven't finished more than a couple of levels so far, so that's all I know. Gotta have this game if you have Wii ... it's not like any other game I have played :)

    Pretty decent game.

    This game is kind of a let down. I would still recommend it for the horror seekers (though to my standards, its not scary at all) The graphics are decent enough for the wii console. There really arent any walkthroughs for those needing help. Certain parts of the game were better than others to me. All in all its a decent game to buy, but I wouldnt pay a high price for it (even if its new)

    Realistic Haunted House Game

    I love haunted house games and this game is fun, makes you jump. The only downfall is the flashlight control, sometimes it goes haywire by itself, pointing up and not going in the direction you want it to, plus if you don't find a battery in time you die. Overall I'm enjoying the game so far.This game is scary and somewhat hard, the point to this game is to do things like following ghosts to attract their attention, to see how far you'll go to get scared.
