Worth the money!
This is a great alternative to the other, more expensive brand ($60+ for the same size). It isn't quite as powerful, but close. Its pretty quiet, and good for moving air around, or redirecting the air from the air conditioner. This particular model is a good size for an apartment, but you may want a larger model for a bigger area. And CHECK THE MODEL NUMBERS with the size you want. There are several sizes available, and some of them only differ by an inch or two. Generally, this is a great mid-size fan, and it looks like it will be easy to clean. I unwrapped the product for the first time and shortly checked the fan top to bottom for any irregularities. The circular "grill edges" of the fan has some dents. It's not made of metal, so it's funny that the dents must have came bad manufacturing (poor plastic moulding). The fan does turn on with the first speed at max and then I can turn it lower as I keep turning the knob. Once I turned the fan blow upwards slowly -- hearing each click of the gears -- and by the second click or so, a plastic piece (that was formed around one of the rotating parts of the fan) crumbled down to my table. As I turned to stop at the 90 degree angle limit, both rotating parts have cracks around them. The product box doesn't appear to be impacted during shipping and the product was held still with in-box ... My keyboard is also made with the same material and is much sturdier than this lightweight, deformed... thing. I've made several more turns and luckily, there was no more cracking. The fan is still standing and running though. The air spread feels pretty wide. I'm still cautious of the cracks and wondering when the whole thing will fall off the base. I don't think it's worth the current price.

This fan is worth every dollar, it's the right size for almost any room, and ULTRA QUIET at highest setting for a fan of this size. I know it doesn't sweep back and forth, but otherwise, I give it 5 stars!!!
