My Border Collie's feet have a lot of long hair.
Last year when it was a wet snow after a short walk my Border Collie would start limping and then just lay down. This winter I ordered Mushers Secret from Ebay as a last resort before buying Snow shoes for him. I put it on and rubbed it in really well his pads got really smooth and I trimmed the hair back before applying it and put it between his toes too. We have been going out almost every day with out a problem and no build up of ice between his toes I am very happy with the product . soft pads for the pom pom

My dog loves to have this massaged into his paws! I've had a hard time trying to keep his dog boots on his paws, so I tried using this product. He's so much more comfortable going out for a run in the snow, and I don't have to worry about lost dog boots. Keeps snow from a painful build-up on the hair between his toes. Very pleasant scent and conditions his pads wonderfully, as well as my hands! A little goes a long way. Apply to clean paws before exposure to snow and ice. Imagine not having lotion on your hands for 10 years! That was my dogs feet before we moved to PA. I was concerned about the effect of thawing salts on their paws since we moved from North GA and really never used these things. They actually sat in line to have their paw-a-cure done! Even my most skiddish female relaxed to have this wonderful blend massaged into her pads and between her toes. The side effect on my hands and cuticles is just an unexpected bonus. A must to have
Whatever extreme climate you live in, this is the one product I recommend for your four legged friends friends. All paw problems ie I found a stray with such bad paws that you could see the cartilage. Within a week saw considerable improvement, after two weeks cured, my vet very impressed. Even recommended to Battersea Dogs and Cats home.
