    Overly violent, but well written

    This book is well written as you would expect from this well known author. I was disappointed in the level of gratuitous violence in this Cormoran Strike novel. The threat to one of the main characters was over tense and in the end I gave up on the book. Sorry J.K. not your finest hour.

    Brilliant novel in the "Strike" series.

    The Strike novels are compelling reading, with very well written interactions between the characters. As a used hard back, this was particularly good value for money, as it is in as new condition, at only a small fraction of the original price.

    The murderer will keep you on your toes when you have 3 suspects

    A gruesome story about a limb delivered to strikes assistant there is lots of back & forth with 3 suspects which will keep you guessing who is the murderer is. your kept on the edge of your seat until more clues are unravelled by strike & robin you see strike losing custom you begin to feel for him & the frustration of not being able to solve a case .
