    Red Rose Speedway--CD

    Even though this isn't the McCartney and Wings album that comes up in conversation. (Band on the Run is usually first and than maybe Venus and Mars)--this out of print--1996 Re-Issue is better that the Capitol Records one in the early 90's. Full album art work for one and 3 Bonus Tracks. worth the money. Thanks so much

    Red Rose Speedway

    Released in April 1973, only months before the super successful Band On The Run, and about a year and a half after its poorly selling predecessor Wild Life. Wild Life is Wings first release, and Speedway is Paul McCartney and Wings first release. The band is called Wings, but after the poor sales of their debut, all agreed to put Paul's name nice and big on the album. With Paul's name printed on the cover art and the success of the single My Love, it drove this album to number one.

    Contains some great and some not so great

    If you are a collector, a McCartney/Wings, or perhaps a fan of McCartneys' White Album work, then this CD is an absolute must. Contains stellar material and not just the obvious (My Love). Get On The Right Thing, along with Single Pigeon are the highlights, it's too bad the latter didn't have more stamina, as it clocks in at 1.53. All in all good solid work by Paul and the boys.

    Red Roses for Paul

    I loved this album when It first came out, It has the song "My Love" which was the best selling single at the time. Wonderful Piece of music and singing. A must for any Beatles, Paul McCartney or wings fans.
