I bought this 12mm setting to set a gemstone measuring approximately 12mm in width with a rather thick girdle. Other settings that I have purchased from this seller fit nicely but this one's width measured approximately 1mm shy of the advertised width. Although I could have returned it, I kept it because the seller insisted that the measurements were correct. The stone took considerable pressure to set and somewhat distorted the setting but looks good.
