The third Star Trek series concerns Benjamin Sisko (Avery Brooks), commander of the starship Deep Space Nine, who discovers the first known stable wormhole--a virtual shortcut through space that leads from the Alpha Quadrant to the Gamma Quadrant on the other side of the galaxy. The Gamma Quadrant is governed by the Dominion, a group led by the Changelings--a race of shapeshifters which counts DS9 crew member Odo (Rene Auberjonois) among its numbers. The Dominion has become a violent force in the galaxy, and the Deep Space Nine and its crew has become the only hope in upholding the way of life established by the Federation. This 7-disc set includes all 25 episodes from the seventh and final season.

    Not the best of star trek

    So they killed off Dax in season 6 and then brought in a new Dax. The char. wasn't bad it was just not really thought out well. She had one season for the view to get to know her. So she was throw at you over and over again. Taking away form the time they could use to end story of Char. from all the seasons. Then it was all can of rushed and jumbled making a bit hard to follow. When I say it wasn't the best of Star trek, what I mean is there idea's were still good, But then should have been shown over more time. The New Dax should have came sooner and the stories should have gotten more time to develop. For the most part it was ok, but the ending epc. Were far from good. Seeing how almost ALL the char. got &*%$ over, witch I didn't care for. When end a show you should give your char. what ...

    Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - Season 7

    Deep Space Nine is my favorite of all of the Star Trek franchises. Sure The Next Generation and The original series are great in their own right. But DS9 took things to a different level, sometimes dark, but much more realistic in it's portrayal of humanity. It's amazing how their portrayal of the emotions, politics, and morals of war--years before our current events--is so relevant in current time. Season 7 is thought-provoking for those who appreciate depth and exciting with it's visual effects and battle sequences for those who enjoy a good old fashioned space battle. I happen to enjoy both. Grade: A

    Great DVDs, crappy set packaging

    Episode review aside... This box set is a decent package. Navigating the Menus takes a little getting used to, but the selections are explicit enough. The largest drawback to this set is the packaging. It's cheap plastic. I've only had my copy for a month and already one of the pieces has broken off. Terrible design! Definitely not aesthetically pleasing for the collector.
