I was initially concerned that ALL of the smaller print on the front and the back of the case (except for the title) was in Korean, but fortunately, the language in the movie itself was all in original English. Personally, I'm just glad I got a copy of the movie. It would have been nice to be able to read what is printed on the back, but its not that big of a deal.

ALLIGATORS AND A HOT LIL BABE!

Entertaining, well made movie, and I like Robert Forster. The special effects are pretty darn good for its time, but i admit that i especially wanted to see Robin Riker, who was a total BABE, with an awesome body, as well as a fine actor. i actually saw this movie when it was in the movie theatres, so i was a very young man at the time. But although the movie was certainly fun, Robin Riker had my eyes opening wide. This is one of those movies that's great to watch on a rainy weekend, with a cup of coffee, some snacks, and someone you love!

    Good story, bad acting.

It took place in the 1970's and special effects wasn't that great. The characters weren't engaging.

  • Forgotten near-classic. Campy fun.

Great, unheralded movie. Basically JAWS with an ALLIGATOR. Robert Forster is great and I love that most of the movie is shot on-location and has that real street look. My most pleasant surprise, though, was in discovering the transfer was in widescreen. The DVD box says 4:3 ratio, which means the sides of the movie had been lopped off to fit old TV screens. But the movie is in 16:9 widescreen. Don't assume your copy will come this way, but be on the lookout for a pleasant surprise.

  • Funn 'Creature Feature'

When I heard about Robert Forster's death, I remembered this movie and how I had enjoyed it. After a short search, I found a source for it and bought. I was not disappointed! The DVD played perfectly. The movie, though obviously low budget, entertains well. The actors play their characters well. It was nice to see Dean Jagger in a movie again. The main characters are enjoyable and likable. Sure, the special effects are dated as we are now so spoiled by CGI but was still fun. Actually I found them impressive how they could do so much with so little. If you like "creature feature" movies with a nice human story included, try this one.

  • Another title to my growing library of DVDs for when I retire and live the good life.

Alligator was a film I first caught on TV. It was one of those films that stayed with me in the same way that Jaws did 5 yrs earlier...not as traumatizing...but still effective. It's not shown on TV that much...if at all nowadays, so It's always good to buy a rare film like this on DVD.
