Good baseball arcade
The gameplay is pretty solid but weird baserunning and hard fielding controls. The graphics are pretty well done and the players are mostly ripped but some guys are small and athletic. The good looking stadiums make the graphics work well and very well done player models make the graphics good. A good soundtrack featuring Motorhead and more. The soundtrack is mostly old school rock and a little hip-hop in there. The Commentary is well done and is pretty funny at times. The main mode is the Rookie challenge mode where you pick a team and go through a cinderella season. Some extras are home run derby but no season/ franchise mode gives this game a short amount of play time. I was not impressed with the players batting stances. Giambi bats the same as counsel. one of the best baseball games i've played....takes awhile to get used to the controls but then the action takes off. one drawback is that you get the fielders view for training exercises but during the game it's strictly from home plate.i'd like it more if there was an option to play in the field from the point of view of whatever position you chose for your player. the real excitement comes when you can tag the towering homer or blow the fastball by the batter. Best sport game for PS2 so far
This is a great action/sport game. An excellent game for anyone who loves the sport of baseball. I love the home run pinball. It is a very exciting game to play; probably one of the best on the market for PS2 except for Call Of Duty 4. If you are looking for a realistic sport game this would not be the game for you because it looks like all of the players are on steroids. Overall, a very appealing game.This is a great action/sport game. An excellent game for anyone who loves the sport of baseball. I love the home run pinball. THe game is awesome and the graphics are outstanding. Iwent out and purchased Playstation3. So It made it even better. I,m Not hooked up to the inter through my TV yet, But going to soon so I can compete with others. The game is so alive. The best Part I liked was Creating your own player. So it was great to see my name on back of the uniform. I have no dislike whatso ever about the game they hit a HOMERUN!!!!!!! with this game. Sincerely, Rollin E.
